About Patrice
I am the founder and managing principal of Grants Works, a grant consulting company, and the lead trainer for Grants Works Academy.
I have over 13 years of experience managing federal grants for large and small nonprofits, a top research university, and I reviewed grant continuation applications when I was employed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
I managed federal awards as a recipient, subrecipient, pass-through entity and my work as a federal employee helped inform my experience.
Since 2005, I successfully administered over $129 million in federal, state and county grant funding from 17 city, county, state and federal agencies. I also managed grants from foundations and corporations.

Grants Works is a grant consulting company. Our mission is to help organizations, businesses, and municipalities successfully acquire, manage and comply with government and private sector grants that positively impact people and communities.
Our services include customized federal grant management training, government grant consulting and advisory services, offsite grant management, site visit readiness, fiscal consulting during site visits, and compliance assessments.

About Grants Works Academy
Grants Works Academy was developed to be a central online location for "recipient-centered" federal grants management training. Our approach to training is to teach the technical aspects of federal and other government grants and how to implement them in the real world.
We work with a team of professionals with in-depth experience in instructional design, animation, and other relevant skills to create customized grant management training.
Our classes are taught by grant management professionals who oversaw government grants for large and emerging nonprofits and research universities and understand the nuances of grant management as a pass-through entity, recipient, and subrecipient.
